FTC Shopping List
A smart grocery shopping list for Android. Your shopping list is the entry point, but your purchase history is the long-term value. Every time you tick off an item the app records what you paid — and over time it builds a picture of your spending habits and restocking patterns.
Just want a simple list? No problem — if tracking prices isn’t your thing, you can turn the whole feature off in Settings. It becomes a clean, no-frills shopping list with zero friction.
What it does
Shopping list with category filters and drag-to-reorder
Remembers the last price you paid and pre-fills it next time
Full purchase history with averages, totals and per-item breakdowns
Smart restock suggestions based on how often you buy things
Buy Again chips — one-tap re-add with long press to pin favourites
Share your list, multiple colour themes, dark mode
Fully local — no account, no cloud, no tracking
⚠ What it’s NOT
This is a shopping list, not a pantry manager or accounting tool. A few things that are intentionally out of scope:
Not an inventory system. It doesn’t track how much stock you have at home. Suggestions are based on purchase frequency, not physical stock levels.
Doesn’t calculate unit prices. The price you record is the total you spent on that item for the trip — not per unit or per can.
No barcode scanning (not yet anyway).
No cloud sync — everything stays on your device. Deliberate choice for simplicity and privacy.

⚠ What it’s NOT
This is a subscription tracker, not a full budgeting suite. A few things intentionally out of scope:
No automatic detection. It won’t scan your bank or email to find subscriptions. You add them manually — which also means you know exactly what’s in there.
Not a full budget manager. It tracks subscription costs, not your overall income, spending categories or bank balances.
No cloud sync — everything stays on your device. Deliberate choice for simplicity and privacy.
